“Live the Life of Your Dreams
When you start living the life of your dreams, there will always be obstacles, doubters, mistakes, and setbacks along the way. But with hard work, perseverance and self-belief there is no limit to what you can achieve.”
― Roy T. Bennett
I haven't posted on the blog in what seems like forever and it's because I moved! And to say I moved to bigger and better things would be an understatement.
I was about 12 years old when I started dreaming about moving closer to the Canadian Rockies to live and pursue my photography and, in the last 3 years my life has changed so much, I feel like a new person. I came to Alberta in 2003 after leaving the Canadian Armed Forces but it's been quite the journey and hard work to get to live where I want, where I feel healthy and happier.
I went from being an unknown p/t photographer and housekeeper to having a breakdown and being taken off work since 2016. My struggles continue but I've realized that what I need are passion along with purpose and to be closer to nature. I've always felt like my story and the things I've been through have a purpose. Like I'm supposed to be helping a lot more people. I can't explain it, it's strange because I have social anxiety and PTSD which makes it really hard for me to be in public.
Educating myself and doing some research, I realized that maybe a website to get more people to see my photography, being able to deal with the criticism online would be a good start. Then came my blog, who knows what the future hold for me. But I refuse to be part of the statistics.
I realized a dream about two weeks ago. I finally moved to the Canadian Rockies!!! They are right in my backyard now.
Now for that new lens...Can I make all my dreams come true? Haha, one can only hope!
Be optimistic, because your thoughts are more powerful than you think.
Have perseverance, it's not always easy, but you are enough.
Be positive, negativity only brings in bad energy.
What are your power thoughts? Tell me in the comments!
You attract the energy you give out, it's part of the laws of the universe. Remember that, be kind to yourself and, have a beautiful week!
Peace & Love,
